Walking your shorkie
« on: July 07, 2019, 01:13:46 AM »
Hi
Did you know that if you have a new puppy that you should not walk your shorkie too much as they have such little legs and if you walk them too much it can deform their legs and cause problems when they get older. Your puppy should not be walked any younger than 8 weeks.
They advise a five minute exercise per month of age (up to twice a day) until the puppy is fully grown, i.e. 15 minutes (up to twice a day) when three months old, 20 minutes when four months old etc. Once they are fully grown, they can go out for much longer.
