Moulting like mad!!!!!!!!!
« on: December 21, 2008, 03:57:22 AM »
Hi everyone,

our Maisie who is six months old has started to lose her hair at an alarming rate. I thought that Shorkies werent supposed to moult! We are grooming her regularly but it is still coming out like billy - o.

Is this normal? Will it stop? Is she losing her puppy hair? Im sick of having a hair house!!!!!!!

Sorry not to get back to you sooner. I did go through that with Toby and I got very upset too. I'm not sure but does your puppy scratch alot as that was what happened to my baby and I found out he had an allergie. If that is the case you may need to take her to the vets.

Since I found out that he has an allergie I just keep an eye on him and make sure I use oat meal shampoo on him and I have to use an alovera cream to rub into his fur ocassionally. I haven't had any problems since.

Sorry to not reply to your question.  I broke my hand walking Mai Tai and it is very difficult to type.  I had no experience with losing hair, so did not have any advice.  I meant no offense in that.  Hope the vet can help.

No problem.  I feel snarky every other day, and when your dog is losing hair, I am sure you worry.  I read it could be allergies too.  Mai Tai does not shed at all.

Happy New Year.  Wish you the best

No you were right in getting upset and I do need you to accept my appologies this is my site and I should make sure people are answered.

Yes we all get that way at times. In fact I have been alittle that way lately as I have had a lot of family pressures and it gets to you.

Soooo please forgive me. My new years resolution is to concerntrate on my websites and positives.

Yes I have other websites.
Beaders Showcase and Stitchers Showcase.
