How big is your shorkie
« on: December 05, 2008, 09:29:35 PM »
My shorkie is only 4 and half months old and is already about 9 lbs, so I think he is going to be big.  Just wondering how big everyone else's is.

My shorkie is 6 months old and he is already 13 pounds. I am hoping he stays about that size.

Molly just turned 7 months old this week and she is 7 lbs. The breeder I got her from told me that she could be anywhere from 8 to 15 lbs, so I didn't really know what to expect. She hasn't gained any weight for over a month now, so I'm guess she isn't going to get much bigger. Aren't dogs considered full grown around 10 months? I am so new to this dog stuff. Molly is my first one and I'm learning as I go! :)

I think small breeds stop growing aroun 10 months or so.  Mai Tai's mom was only 5 lbs, but his dad is 15, so I think he takes after his dad, (more Shih-tzu than Yorkie).  Mai Tai's siblings are both around 4 lbs right now, so I got the big boy of the litter.

My baby girl, Jolie is 6pounds and is 6.5 months old.

She hasn't changed in size in about a month.

Her dad was 3.5 pounds and her mom was 9pounds... so really this is pretty much in the middle

Hi.  I'm new to this site.  My Dodger is three months old and weighs 3 lbs 4 oz.  His father only weighs three pounds and mom is 5 pounds.  He is already bigger than dad, so I'm wondering how big he will get.

Max is 3 months old and weighs 5lbs. His mom was 5 and his dad was 4 but the vet said he should get about 10lbs.

Ours is 10.5 weeks old.  When I weighed her last week, she was 3.6 lbs.  I take her to the vet tomorrow for her shots!

our girl weighed 6 lbs at 3 months... we take her back to the vet in a few weeks. her mom was only 6 pounds, so i'm not sure how much bigger she will get.
