What is the average size? Are they easy to train? Tell me anything you know.

As far as size it is hard to say. I t depends a lot on the parents but generally I would say if they take after the shi zu more than the yorkie they gorw to about 12lb and ablout half that if they take after the yorkie. This is on average, if you look through some of the posts you will find a lot of discussions about most of these issues.

They are easy to train, toilet training is one of our posts you will find lots of info from that.
May I say that your shorkie will bring lots of fun and love into your life.

He already do! My boyfriend and I crack up all night at him. He bullys the bigger dogs ( black lab mix that is 5 years old and a collie/lab will be a year on Oct 2nd) The black lab(Timmy..my bf adopted him and he has some issues) gets tired of Chewie very easy but he just wants to be left alone. The collie/lab(Jager) and Chewie play all the time. Jager realizes that Chewie is a baby and tiny and its gentle 90% of the time 10% i have to tell him to calm down even know it doesn't faze Chewie. Chewie barks and growls why he plays its so funny. Also bits on Jager's tail.

Hi, please forgive me if what I am about to say offends you.  I don't want to offend you, but only help you to have a happier, healthier dog and pack of dogs in your home.  It is really not a good idea to allow a puppy or a small dog to play in the way you describe.  It could lead to aggression when he is older.  Biting, and growling should be discouraged at this age.  I know it is so cute in a puppy, but it is no longer cute when the dog is older and may lead to aggression toward other dogs and even people as the dog grows.  If you want a well behaved adult dog, training has to start now.  There are many web sites that give great info about training a puppy so as to have a calm submissive dog.  I recommend Cesar Millan, though some people do not like him.  I am only talking to you from experience we had with a pup who became very very aggressive and started biting my children, my husband, and then myself.  I just want you to have a long happy relationship with your dog and if I have offended you in any way, I am sorry.

What is Ceaser's website? I use to watch his shows once in awhile.  You did not offend me. It's just how he plays and I don't know how to stop it.

I have a Chewy too!!  ;D
He's now 8 months and about 9 pounds.  He is the cutest thing ever! Post some pictures of your Chewie!

I am also a big fan of Cesar Millan.  His book Cesar's Way changed my life.  I used to do everything wrong till i read his book.  Def a good read for any dog owner!

Also with the growling and the barking I never used to worry about it just thought it was playful. Then I started obedience training and was told to tell him Shhh quiet in a firm voice. The reason was even thoug he was only being playful dogs may take it as being aggresive and could attack him. so I don't allow him to do it any more. I just quickly go to him make sure he is looking at me and say Quiet then I give him a treat when he stops. Your pup maybe a bit young for this but try it anyway. The main thing kis to distract him so he stops and when he stops reward. Don't stop your pup from playing with your other dogs as that is a good thing they must learn to interact. Just don't allow the growling.

I also had a black lab when I was a young girl he used to growl when playing as he got older he became agressive but not with my family but with visitors. We used to live inthe bush, one day we let him go wondering around the bush near our home some strangers were their we didn't know what they were doing there but apparently they were steeling cars and bumping them there our lab start having a go at them and the strangers got a crow bar and bashed him over the head and killed him. I know he was probably ding the right thing but if he wasn't so aggresive he may not of been killed.

 ;)

Hi, if you want to reach Cesar Millan's website, just type in his name and click on the official website.  He has tips for raising pups, but they are not very elaborate online.  I find I learned  more watching his show.  I want to get the video he has available for raising puppies, but money is always tight...I have 5 children.  Good luck

I could not imagine having 5 children. Money is tight now... my boyfriend and i both have a spending problem.

The maximum size photo you can up load is 300 width x 300 height. So depending what graphics program you have you need to reduce it down under that size. If you don't have a graphic's program you can get free ones on the internet you just need to do a search.

Hope that helps  ;)
