Obedience Training

Hi everyone,
I have started to take Toby to Obedience training. It's really great you get to meet people and best of all you get training to handle your dog. We have learned to halt stand, drop on command, sit stay and then I walk around him and he stays still. The only thing we have problems with is halt sit before I went to training I could get Toby to sit on command but know we have got confussed with halt stand and halt sit. So when I say halt sit he stands.lol
 
Oh well I'm sure we will get it right eventually.

I was wondering are any of you doing obedience training or considering it with your dogs.

Hi Ann,

I plan on taking puppy socialization classes with Mai Tai as soon as the vet says he can be among other dogs.  I want to make sure that he becomes a well socialized little guy.  I would love to take obedience training too, when he is old enough.  Good luck with your classes.

Thanks. I took Toby to what we call in Australia puppy pre school. it was great and I beleive it made Toby a better dog. He is friendly with everyone including dogs and cats. I got alot out of it as well.
