Have any of your shorkies had to experience fly bites.  My poor ol meika is covered in them and she wont even walk on her right back leg cuz she has soo many there...such a sin :(

You mean like black flies?  We only have such a thing in the mountains here.  Minnie is fortunately bug free thanks to the vet.

Poor thing.  She must have been miserable to not want to walk on her back leg.  Guess you'll have to find another place to bring her where maybe they aren't as many flies.  They do have this spray for dogs called "flies off"  You might like to see if it helps her.  Obviously she needs something  ;)
Good luck!

you know I'm thinking there was something else people were using to keep flies away.  Now if only my thinking would direct me to what it was, haha.  I'll keep on thinking!!

We have some black flies here in the summer, but they don't seem to bother the dogs, just me.  I will get one bite that will itch and swell on and off all summer.  Really annoying.

Hi try using areoguard on Meika just watch the eyes it should work and won't harm. I use it on Toby in the summer for Mossies and it works.
Hope that helps!! ;)

I hate those green head flies, or horse flies.  Man do they hurt

Boy, I am feeling very lucky here in Canada.  it may be cold and wet but I never see bugs outside of the occasional spider.
