Wow, she is still doing well with going out. My husband took over that part of the training for me, as he watched me "baby her too much", or so he said. He said that she is a dog, not a child and good girly will not work too much on her, she needs to be taken out regulary and not to give her too much room for mistakes on it. If she has an accident by the door, that means she was at least going there to go out, but if she was having accidents in the house, middle of house not by the door, it was done on purpose, especially if she is looking at me( and she has done that). So he let me deal with her for a month, and we had real accidents and "fake accidents". I did not allow my husband to interfere with me and her as she is my baby and I did not like his approach by having her sit there by mess for a while, instead I would just clean it up. He finally had enough and he took over, and NO ACCIDENTS!!! I hate to admit it but he was right, of coufse I will never admit it to him. Kiki would pretend she was scared of him every time she would pee in middle of living room and he would try to pick her up immediately to take her out, Kiki would whine, squeek and run to me (he would not even touch her just attempt to do so). This is when I tought he was being rough with her and I would argue with him. He than would get mad at me and it went on for a month till he made me watch her reactions with his explanation why she was running away from him. He said she knew what she has done and was wrong and would run to me for pitty, using me against him. So I agreed to let him train her for few days just to avoid argument with him as I tought he was just silly and had no feeling towards my baby. Sure enough HE WAS RIGHT!!! SHE HAS NOT BEEN HAVING ANY ACCIDENTS IN THE HOUSE AT ALL FOR GOING ON DAY 3. AND SHE LOVES DADDY NOW. She plays with him and he cuddles with her more, and I am starting to enjoy them together more. My husband is an army guy and has that strict additude. "No reward for dog till she deserves it". It worked. I love them both now again.
Oh I forgot to say he did train our other dog and he is great. He also had doberman dog when we just met years ago, so he was around dogs for a while. I however never trained any dogs nor did I had any before these two. So I guess I can`t call myself an expert but I learn from him every day. He is aproaches dogs without talking to much and uses body movements. Do not ask me why but it`s like he talks to them and he gets them to respond. Once they respond to what he wants them to do, he will start talking to them and playing with them.
Our friends have king doberman and he is the only person this dog will listen, everyone else is afraid of him and his mean personality, including owners, but my husband is the only person that can pull the bacon out of his mouth while he is eating and the dog will not get mad. Go figure....

Sounds like your husband is a pack leader and dogs will respect that.

....I guess... He does get them to comply almost immediately, where I have to sweat a bullet to get them to that stage with talking. I am soft and treat them like kids, and I just do not know how to talk dog language. That’s OK, as long as I have him, he will teach them, and I will be their protection, cuddle mommy. Hope I learn along with him. I swear I tried his rules, but dogs just don’t take me seriously. We can’t have two pack leaders in the house, right?

Actually, all the humans are supposed to be in a leader position over the dog.  Your husband may be nuimber one, but you cannot be below the dog in pack order.  Good luck.  I find it difficult too.
