How big did your shorkie grow

Daisy Belle just had an appt and she is 5# 8 oz at 19 weeks.  Anyone have a guess as to how big she will be?

She could be anywhere from 7-8 pounds to 12 pounds. How big were her parents?

I'll have to ask.  The breeder said she would be really small.  I think the dad was 5 lbs, and mom 8 lbs.  I can't believe she is 5 1/2 lbs already at 4 1/2 months.  What do you think?

Hard to say, depends how fast she grows, but being her mom and dad are little, she should not be bigger than 7-8pounds. Time will tell.

Mo's parents were 6 lbs and 7 lbs.  Mo is 3 lbs 13 oz at a year old, but his littermate is now 16 lbs, so sometimes they get bigger than both parents.  Weird.  I think the Shih-tzu genes cropped up in his brother.

That just doesn't even seem possible that litter mates can vary so!  She definitely has the yorkie traits.  Everyone automatically thinks she is a yorkie.

Bentley is now 4 months and is only just over 4 pounds.

Don't worry Bentley will get bigger.  I estimate about 8 pounds, maybe a little more.

Kiki is full 4 months today & she weighs 2.8 pounds! So according to the chart, she should be 4.5 -5 pounds, but then again you never know... Love her anyways. You can keep a track of your puppys growth with help of a chart, just follow link below. Hope it goves you better idea

I weighed Bentley the other day and was in complete shock...he's now up to 10 pounds!

He goes to the vet tomorrow to get updates on his shots so we will see what the vet thinks about how big he'll get! I'm excited to see what he thinks!

Oh my, I think your scale is wrong. He can not gain that much in 2 weeks. Go to a pet store, they have those good scales you can use to weigh him. Either way, he is still cute as a button!!!

At 8 months, minnie mee is now 6.6 pounds... and she has a huge heart.

At 18 months Jemma is 6 pounds 2oz.  I am so much happier with this as her final weight.  when she was 4 pounds she was just too darn small and I was always worried about stepping on her or rolling over on her.  Although I still have to be careful because she does get under my feet.  But she was 4 pounds until she was spayed at almost 12 months.  After her spay was when she gained the extra weight.  Bigger is always a little better with this little ones

Glad to hear it shorkiejem.  I have hope for Mo then, who at 12 months, is 3 lbs, 13 oz. At least that is what he was a few weeks ago.  He looks like he has filled out some though, so maybe he is 4 lbs, by now. I agree it is better for them to be a little bigger.  I was hoping he would reach at least 5, for all the reasons you listed.  Let you know how he does at his next visit.  Funny though, no matter how small he is, he still holds his own against his 15 lb 6 oz. uncle, Mai Tai, when they play and wrestle.  Mai Tai is gentle with him.  He does not return the favor...LOL.

Lucy is about 15 pounds now. To me she looks more like a Shih Tzu, especially body-wise. Lots of people tell me she has a Yorkie face though.
