How big did your shorkie grow

Hi there, I am new proud mommy of a little love bug baby girl I named Kiki. She is the most adorable thing I ever had aside from my kids. I got her when she was 8 weeks old, and her weight was 1.8 pounds. She is nearly 12 weeks old and weighs 2.2 pounds. Just wondered if anyone knows how big would she get. Her parents were tiny, dad yorkie 4pounds and mom tzu at 6-7 pounds. Thanks everyone who posts...

Minnie Mee was about 3.4 pounds at that age and now she's just over 5 pounds... hope that helps.

Meika was 6 lbs @ 12 weeks..she's over 10 lbs now at 8 1/2 months

Mo was 1.8 lbs at 13 weeks, and is 3 and a half pounds now at 11.5 months.  Mai Tai was 6 lbs at 13 weeks and weighs 15.6 lbs now at almost 2 years old.   Hope that helps.  I think Kiki will probably be around 7 lbs.  They say that the parents are the best indication of size and they should grow to a weight between their parents' weights, in general.  That being said though, Mai Tai is bigger than his largest parent, and Mo is smaller than his smallest parent, so go figure.

Aren't they just the most adorable little creatures?!

Lilo is 11 months and has been at 13 lbs since she was around 7 months.  She seems to take after her mom, who was Shitzu of course, and who I believe is around 12 lbs.

I suppose if they lean more towards the Yorkie side, they would be smaller.

Lilo is just heavy enough to give a good bump when she comes charging to the door in greeting!

He sure did not grow much more than from when you got him. He is adorable. Kiki is really picking up after her dad`s body construction. She just had a haircut and she looks like little yourkie when she puts her ears up. They are so much fun. We are learingin harness walking and it is not going well. She just grounds herself, stuborn little one. But she will learn.

Kuma is almost 6 months old and has been pretty steady @ 5.2 the last two times he was at the vets for booster shots and getting fixed.

Hi.  I just rescued an 8 year old shorkie named Bailey.  She's gained about 3/4 of a pound since I got her and now weighs 12 pounds.  Her size works out well in our house because she's big enough to bound up and down the stairs.  I'm used to big dogs, but she's taught me that little dogs are wonderful too!

From what I have read from different people some Shorkes have stopped growing at 1 year, others say 18 months.  But rarely does a Shorkie stop growing before a year.  Jemma was such a slow grower I thought she'd never gain but she did, thank goodness.

So we took her in to weigh her as she is full 14 weeks today and she gaind a little. She weighs 2.5 pounds, up by 0.3 since 2 weeks ago. It seems she will be slow frowing pup that should mature around 4.5 to 5 pounds. I still love her very much and she seems happy and healthy. We have not gone through one hypoglycemic phase yet. Hope it will never happen.

I am glad she is healthy Kiki.  She may even make it to 6 lbs, you never know.  Mo has topped out I think, at 3 lbs, 13 oz.  He is a year old today.  Mai Tai is 15 lbs. 6 oz at almost two years old.  Mo could grow more I guess, but has not grown at all in a few months. In fact he was 4 lbs when we had him neutered about 2 months ago, now he is less.  I guess those testicles weighed more than they looked like they would, LOL.

Hehehehehe, LOL!!! They must have weight more... As long as they are healthy and happy. I would not mind her staying this size, she is so adorable!!! Happy BDay to MO!!! Wish he has a wonderful life ahead of him and for you to enjoy him...
