Pethead Products... how are they?
« on: April 24, 2010, 06:30:47 PM »
Just saw some Pethead products at my local PJ Pet Store and Petsmart.  It looks like the same company that manufactures Bedhead products for human hair, so the packaging is super cute and the fragrances are divine!  Has anyone tried them?  Thoughts?

I'm really wanting to try the dry shampoo spray, detangling spray, and deodorizing spray the most!  Oh and also the skin soothing shampoo and conditioning creme!  I guess I really wanna try the entire line, lol!  But I wonder if they are gentle enough for puppies?

Along with these products, I'm also on the hunt for a good gentle brush for Shih Tzu type hair as Tyson has inherited more thick, fluffy Shih Tzu hair.   :D Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry can't say that I have tried the product but I have seen them and they are like the ones people use. I would suggest trying it out to see if Tyson gets any kind of bad reaction to it.

Sorry, I've never tried them either.  I only use Milksheen for dogs.  Or is it Minksheen, lol

Kim - Totally testing it out on Tyson... the cute packaging is just reeling me in! Lol, and they say don't judge a book by its cover...

shorkiejem - I think it's Minksheen, hahaha.  I've heard many Yorkie owners rave about how great Minksheen is and looks like Jemma has inherited more Yorkie hair... gorgeous, long, fine hair!  Tyson, on the other hand, has more Shih Tzu hair... thick, poufy hair, hahaha!  We'll see what will tame that mane of his... :D

I like the smell of Minksheen and it has a natural repellent to bugs.  Jemma's coat is so smooth afterwords.

I realize this is an OLD thread but I use PetHead products.  I really like the one in the red bottle, Life's an Itch and then one in the pink bottle (can't remember the name).   I rotate different shampoos and use products by BioGroom and Top Performance in addition to the PetHead.  The only thing about the PetHead that I wish could be better is that it is SOOOOO thick that it is hard to squeeze out of the bottle.  Other than that, it makes Raley's coat very soft and shiney!!
