do it yourself. that way you know whats going on. It saves you a ton of money. It doesn't really matter what he looks like i mean he doesn't care all he knows is it's hot in this weather and he wants that hair off. I've done Miley a couple times it was easy. of course i messed up a few times but thats fine. Hey you learn from your mistakes. to get start buy a set of clippers. i like the andis ones. It should come with a video and you just follow the instructions. For a grooming table i used a table low to the ground not to low though and put a towel over it. Good luck. Wink

Hi, Stinkum sure looks cute as heck. How much does he weigh? Yes I have been told by breeder that if you shave them, their hair might come out really lighter. But if you keep them with puppy cuts, it should not change much. Dont ask why, still beats me...I have to take Kiki to groomer, but I am just scared she will not look like herself. I tried to cut her hair and I messed up, so I will leave it to groomers. She has beautiful markings around her nose and mouts, and is peper collor on the body with blonde. It is hard to let go of your puppy face look...

Hi, Kiki is such a cutie.  Stinkum weighs...(drum roll)...almost 8 lbs. and he was the runt of the litter.  I know, I feel like a bad mommy, and have been trying to feed him half the food (now on diet organic dog food) and half the treats.  I've started to feed him boiled carrots and he just goes to town on them.  The raw ones are too hard for him to chew.

Hi Stinkum, 8 pounds is not heavy.  Don't go by that ole runt of the litter tale hun.  My step mom had a German Shepard that was runt of the litter.  I'm willing to bet when she was full grown she made her siblings look like the runts.  She got HUGH.  But 8 pounds is a really nice weight for a Shorkie.  Not big and not tooooo small.  Still small.  But a safe small, if that makes any sense, lol

My vet says that as long as Mai Tai's waist tapers in at the hind end he is good.  He weighs over15 lbs, but is not overweight for his size.  Don't just go by weight.

Most of the honey color and dark highlights you wee on minnie mee's picture is gone... but now she has a lot of apricot highlights.  I have also decided to skip the groomer.  My vet only charges two dollars more to trim the nails, and the last time I went to the groomer, mm came back looking like paul mccartney in the 60s.

minnie mee was a lot darker and had more honey colour when she was a pup... it just faded on her own.  I miss the honey, but now she has a lot of apricot and some black mixed with cream, so she still has very lovely colouring.  Minnie mee has been cast in a film!  (a short film...)
