Warning about toy
« on: February 24, 2010, 10:57:02 PM »
I thought I had found a great toy for Kuma.  It is a round ball made like the those fleece blankets, he loves to chase them down the hall way in the house, and play tug of war .... or so I thought.  Today he pulled part of the string off that holds it together and was trying to eat it!  I pulled on the other one and off it came.  I know he would have eaten it ... I hope he hasn't that I know off, going to watch him over the next few days to make sure he is still going poo OK.  These toys are going in the garbage.  I swear that dog eats everything that is not nailed down!

Yea, Max likes to play with strings too! The blanket that we use for one of his crates has strings at the end of them. It's one of those blankets that my bf used when he was in the army that they would roll up and tie it to their back packs. Max loves using it as a floss...haha. Luckily, he hasn't been able to pull the strings completely off but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

I've never seen Zoe be interested in string, but that dog LOVES ripping up catalogs.  Especially my husband's Cabelas catalogs.  It's a good thing they send about 4 a week, Zoe is a regular paper shredder.   Too bad they aren't abrasive enough to keep her toenails short!

Hi all,

Kuma's new fav is one of those that has no stuffing inside.  It has three squeekers inside and he can shake that for all he is worth and they don't come apart or have any stuffing that he can eat either.  I think the dryer lint is through his system now, LOL.
By the way I am a Lisa ;O)

We got Cash a couple of new toys for his birthday and so far they are still intact.  One of them is called the big mean kitty... link below. the fabric is very thick.

the other is a cuz squeaky toy that he goes crazy with... it's so funny to watch him get mad and attack the toy trying to get the squeaker out yet he can't.  i got them both at petco.  here is a link for a picture of the cuz toy.

Don't ask me why but Jemma loves the soft toys with the squeaker.  She drives me nuts.  She has one the shape of a bone and the squeaker is right in the middle.  She'll sit next to me and just keep moving her mouth and you hear squeak squeak squeak a hundred times before she stops, ugh!!

Yes, Kuma loves those squeeky toys.  His fav is a weasel that has two on each end, but no stuffing.  I finally had to wash it the other day and I am going to get a spare one today while I am at PetSmart for the vet today.  It was getting pretty stinky! It was so cute when I gave it back to him, he just shook it really hard, and then laid his head on it.  Man they are adorable!
