We named our Shorkie Weston after a football player on our favorite football team.  He's an amazing receiver who is tiny, for a football player, our shorkie was so small yet special the name just suited him.

I believe the name that you choose for your dog is what you feel suits it and you will feel comfortable call them by that name. What is in a name?

I called my dog Minnie Mee as a joke.  In the past I'd called my cat Le Meow because my last name is Lemieux.  A couple of weeks ago someone commented "Do you always name your pets after yourself?"  It made me feel a bit bad...
