Meika was at the vet today for her last needle...at 16 weeks she weighs 9 pounds..shes sure gonna be a big one!!!!!!!!!

Well, not neccessarily. Maybe she's gonna grow a little bit slower as she gets older because she's growing so fast now, I think Ted was maybe 5-6 pounds at that age (?) Or maybe she is just going to be a big shorkie! Keep us updated

Oh I think Meika will be a little bigger than Mai Tai who is about 15 lbs now.  He was around 8 lbs at 16 weeks.  Congratulations.  Adorable piicture.

I sure hope wes is small I think he's going to be stubby and low to the ground! it is so cute to watch him walk and run makes me laugh so hard I could literelly cry!!!so cute

He's about 4 pounds and 9 weeks! I think he's goin to be a 9 to 10 pounds because both parent are 9 to 10 pounds!

Hi all !! Well I'm embaressed as Toby is 16lbs now and he is getting over weight. My hubby gives him a little bit of what he eats as well as he has his food. I to am guilty of giving Toby the odd little bit so this all adds up. So needless to say Toby is on a diet. He will be 5yrs old on 1 March and I want him to servive for quiet a few years yet. There is an elderly man who walks by my house regularly with his little dog. Well I hadn't seen him for a while and wonder what had happened. I finally seen him yersterday with a new little dog I asked him what happened to his other dog and he said he had had a heart attack and die and he was only 4 yrs old. I was very sad for the mans loss. He told me that he probably died form over eating. I did notice that his dog was over weight as it used to woddle as it worked and could not jump up even if it wanted too. I guess the moral to the story is watch your dogs weight and make sure you don't over feed them.

This is so true, Ann.  My vet says Mai Tai should get no heavier.  I told her he takes long walks every day and eats only two small meals a day, with rarely a treat.  She says that she understands I am not overfeeding him, but Shih-tzus tend to gain weight, especially after neutering.  Mai Tai looks almost completely Shih tzu, so I really have to make sure we keep exercising.  He is not overweight at 15.6 lbs, but would be if he gained more.  Good for you Toby is on a diet.  I sometimes wish I had an owner who would put me on a diet and keep me on one...LOL!

Yeh I know what you mean there. Since I have been going through menapause I have been putting weight on very easy and I hate it.

I take Toby for walks every day. Thanks for the info about the shitzu I didn't know that.
