Losing Teeth
« on: November 24, 2009, 03:15:17 PM »
I know puppies are supposed to lose their baby teeth, and I know this happens at about 4 or five months, but I have never had a puppy before and this is kind of scaring me. I have already randomly found 2 teeth (one of which is his large bottom fang) and am wondering if everything is ok. Its kind of scary to me to see him without that big tooth and I"m worried that he's in pain. Can somebody reassure me that this is completely normal?

it is normal..I use to find bailey's teeth all around the house...and stuck in her toys...fun fun...just watch giving him treats while  he is loosing his teeth....i didn't realize bailey had lost most of her back teeth and she had trouble chewing on a treat that she had eaten with no problems before..it got caught in her throat....had to rush her to the vet....but she got carsick before we got there and it was dislodged from her throat..thank goodness

It's completely normal! I don't really find any of Teddy's teeth around, but I know that it is regular. No need to panic! ;)
:D I love shorkies, especially T.B. :D

Thank you guys so much. I keep finding them and its so sad because sometimes he stands in front of it slouched over looking so upset. I hope he's not in pain.
