Oh my goodness, if it's not one thing it's another.  Sounds like you are well prepared though.. it's stressful, but if you worry about the worst, it's bound to not be as bad as you dreamt it might be.  :)  Have fun in Florida.

I had lots of fun but I also missed Teddy soooo much! But it was all to see him so happy when we got back home. I'm surprised that he didn't pee on me, honestly.    :-[

Yeah, it's a really really really small world, then. Out of all the places, we're all vacationing in Florida. And it's ok to miss Mai tai and Bailey when you have to leave them because I know how much i missed my little shorkie when we dropped him off at the vet's office. . . his little puppy face just looked so sad and I felt so bad when we left him. And mai tai, where are you leaving your shorkie? Boarding or with a friend? I was just wondering, by the way. I am so happy to have found this forum to post in! I love shorkies!  :D

Teddy, Mai Tai is staying home and my sister is coming to stay with him.  She lives in Manhattan and would like to come down to the "country" (really a suburb, but country enough for her) to relax for a while.  I watch her dog for her here when she has to go away.  I just feel bad because I am leaving at 5:30 in the morning and she won't be here until about 6 pm.  One of my other sisters is driving us to the airport, and will come back to my house to give Mai Tai breakfast and walk him.  She will try to stay until about 11, so then Mai Tai will only be alone for 7 hours, but he has never been alone for more than 5, so I feel bad.  Good thing we never taught him to tell time.

Oh. . . . . . . I'm sure Mai tai will be fine. And if anything goes wrong, he probably knows your phone #. LOL! But I'm sure that Mai tai will be fine.

Hi, new to ShorkieTalk.  My Jemma is 9 months and 4 pounds.  I really would have liked her bigger as I feel they are healthier with some pounds to fall back on, if ever sick

Nice to meet you, I am glad that you learned how to post pictuers and do posts. I am the owner of Teddy, a chubby little 10 pound almost 7 months shorkie. He is probably a little more than 10 pounds by now, but that's the last time he was weighed. Well, you are going to love sharing stories and reading them! Best of luck!

Welcome Shorkiejem.  I feel for you with the weight thing.  Mojito is only 2 lbs 5 oz at 15 weeks.  Hoping he makes it to 5 or 6 lbs.  Mai Tai on the other hand is a big healthy 13.2 lbs.  I worry much more over Mojito.
