Shorkie Puppy photos
« on: April 08, 2008, 11:08:35 AM »
Here are some photos of Mattie at about 7 weeks old.  Isn't she cute!  I was told her mom was a Yorkie and her father was a Shih Tzu.  I don't have any recent pictures of her, but now she's 3 and a half months old and 3.5 lbs.  She's such a good puppy, too!  :D

Mattie is so cute. Yes they make very good dogs and are very easy to trian. Toby's Mum was shih Tzu and dad was Yorkie. Toby is 2 years 1month and he is so attached that when I went away for a few days my husband said he wouldn't eat and he just laid by the front door waiting for me the only way he could get him to go to bed was put my PJ's in his bed then he would lay on them and go to sleep. So a word of warning they get very attached. :)

Hi!
This is my first post at this group.
I just wanted to reply to Ann, about her puppy being attached.
I have a 10 month old Shorkie, (Molly) and she is extremely attached to my boyfriend and I.  We feel so bad leaving her at home alone, and we also do the clothing 'trick',  we just leave big sweaters or shirts of ours on the couch or in her bed,  seems to work as we come home and she's still cuddled on the clothing! heh

Yeh It is amazing how much they do get attached. They are just like babies. But you wouldn't do without them as they are there for you when you need them. :D

These are some pictures of Sadie Lucinda. The one with my daughter, Cassidy was taken the first day we brought her home.

This is my first post on Shorkie Talk --- but I hope to contribute more as I read through all the forums.  I love my little Shorkie!  He is just now hitting 12 weeks.  He is honestly, one of the best dogs I have ever owned.  And he's so sweet.  No matter what kind of day I am having --- it's always better when I come home to him.  And the best news is --- I am purchasing his brother later this afternoon, so I will have two of them soon!  Pictures of Jake, his brother will be posted at a later date!

IMAGES:
This was the first day he came home with us:

This was when he could finally jump off the ledge onto the deck, down the stairs into the grass to use the bathroom:

And of course, he's a sun baby --- he just loves watching birds, butterflies, and getting a tan:

And my all time favorite image --- Theodore chewing on one of those jerky dog treats as I play on the computer:

He's such a well-behaved, sweet, lovable dog.  I would recommend a shorkie to anyone who is looking for a new family member!

He sooooo reminds me of Toby when he was that age. Yes I agree they make you feel sooo good. When I'm feeling down I just have to look at him and I feel better. Even my husband is putty in his hands in fact I have to watch my husband as he tends to spoil him too much.

Great to see you join and I'm looking forward to seeing Jake's photo's :D

Thank you for all the wonderful comments about Theodore.  Yes, he is adorable.  I love him so much and then some!  Well, as promised here's Theodore's brother, Carlito.  Yes, we decided our newest little shorkie looked a little ganster, so that's where the name came from.

IMAGES:

This is Carlito on the first day home --- happy as can be!  His eyes turned a wierd shade of green, but they are really black.

Yes, he looks like a little lion.  He's actually going to the groomers today for his first vet visit since I brought him home.

So that's Carlito, the newest edition to our family.

Theodore & Carlito (Shorkie Brothers)
« Reply #13 on: June 09, 2008, 07:12:11 AM »
Finally I got some pictures of the two of them together!

After a whole day and a half of zero sleep because I ended up with two alpha males, they are finally starting to be nice to one another.  Imagine that.  It's definitely been a very long weekend with the both of them, but I still love them!

So here's Theodore, who is right at 3lbs, and Carlito, who is probably about 5lbs.  Everyone that has seen the both of them together, can't believe they are from the same litter, but they are.  They were both born February 29th, 2008, but have completely different coat colors and facial features.  Not to mention personalities!  They are both very well behaved and quite lovable, so I really can't complain much!

Enjoy the images:

Theodore giving Carlito a kiss.

The puppies love taking naps with me.  Here they are ontop of the bed --- totally excited that I am not forcing them to sleep in their play pen.

Yup, Carlito is bigger than Theodore.  He's the one that looks like a lion.  And Theodore looks like a yorkie, except his square face throws it all off.

And yes, they even share sometimes --- but not for very long.

More pictures soon --- after Carlito get's groomed, as he looks like such a fuzzball.
