Nova update
« on: February 03, 2012, 05:40:36 AM »
Haven't been on lately with Girl Scouts (2 different troops, school (for me) and my fur babies!

Does anyone give their babies a flea pill? I give one to Nova once a month and if she lays downa nd sleeps after taking it, sh won't get sick, but if we are on the go that day, she usually gets sick. Is this normal? Our vet's assistant said as long as she doesn't get violently ill she should be okay.

Ok, so I have cut sweets out for me. I couldn't tell you the last time I had a wonderful donut. Today (about an hour ago) my husband broght some yummy, delicious, mouth watering, fresh baked donuts home. I decided I wanted, no needed one. I put my donut on the plate, get up to get my coffe and when I sit back down, Nova is sitting there finishingup my donut! UGH! Now she is on a sugar hih and going nuts chasing the cats, waiting for her to crash! LOL

I use Frontline Plus for Miss Ava.  I don't think a pill should make a dog sick though.  Hope she enjoyed her donut. lol

It sounds like the temptation was tooo much.LOL :)

I give Toby a pill for fleas but I don't give it to him unless there is a flea plag then I will give him it once a month for 3 months. I do find when I give Toby any pills like wormimg pills he is a little of colour the next day then after that he fine.

I would still keep an eye on her though as it could be a reaction to the flea pill contents. You may have to try another brand or something like frontline. :-\

Good Luck!!!

I use Advantage on Gracie. I would suspect that the pill is stressing your little one's body in some way. It should have no effect on her. Obviously since when she is more active she gets sick there is a stress factor going on. I'd switch to something else.
