What it hard keeping her eyes from staining Ellie? Since he was a white color.

No, I never really had tearing problems with him. Sometimes if his hair got too out of control around his eyes he might have some tearing but as long as I kept the hair trimmed around his face he looked pretty good. Gracie does have some tearing occasionally. I'm letting some fur grow out on her face and it seems to be taking a long time. I may give up and cut it.

Angel has some tearing also. Angel's hair grows so fast. She's getting alot of curly hair now and it gets pretty. I can't decide how long I want to let it grow. I'll probably get it cut a little shorter because she hates being combed. I could never let it grow real long because it would be all tangles. But during the winter it's staying alot longer than the summer.

I am in the process of changing where i trim the fur on Gracie's face. I used to cut it further up her nose but now I am only trimming it to where the bend in the nose is and letting everything above that grow up to be put in a top knot. It takes a few months so I am to the point where I am tempted to cut it again. When those little hairs start growing out they kind of get in her eyes sometimes.

I think it is so adorable when they got those top nots. Angel would never keep one in though and then her hair would be flopping in her face. Gracie has the silkier hair and that would look adorable on her.

I didn't start putting her hair in a top knot until she was a year old and she was not good about it. I have found though that being consistent is the key. If I slack off and don't comb everyday then she starts to give me a hard time about it. Same with the top knot. After a week of doing it everyday she accepted the fact that she is getting a top knot. I also found that I got much better at doing it when I did it everyday. It does not take much time to run a comb through her fur once or twice a day and doing that keeps her looking nice. She is so close to the floor and such a little stinker that she tends to get things in her fur or just messy so combing her in the morning and at night just has to be done. It is really good though because it keeps her mindful of the fact that I am in charge and not her. She would run the place completely if I let her!
