Thankfully we live on the side of a hill and the water just formed a stream that flowed through our back yard and off the edge of a cliff not too far off. The towns around us had some horrible flooding though. I did not even feel the earthquake but people who were in taller buildings did. People around here have always felt they are pretty safe from disasters but now we find that is not true.
How are you getting around? Are you on crutches? I feel so bad for you. How long are they saying your recovery will take?

I have been looking after my Mum and Dad as well as my Muminlaw. So it all has been taking my time so sorry that I have not been on for a while.

Ann I hope you are doing alright with your heart. Did you have problems before the leaky valves or are you just starting to have problems with your heart? It is scary and I wish you well.

I have had problems for a while but it has been getting worse as I'm getting older. I also have been going to the Gym to get fit and my heart had been playing up more so my GP sent me to the heart specialist to check it out thats how they found out I have a leaky valve but that it self is not a problem so I can keep going to the Gym I just can't push my self to hard. I just need to remind my self that I'm not young any more LOL :D

That's true going to the gym makes you feel better mentally. The exercise I think lifts your spirits up. I feel better going shopping or doing anything than just sitting around in the house. I used to belong to a gym but than I got lazy and quit going. Should have kept it up. If you do too much activity does your heart speed up? Thats what mine does. Then I have to try to slow it down again.

Yes my heart does speed up when I do alot but that is not always a bad thing I just have to pace myself and not over do it. I do like going to the gym as it does make me feel better and it gets me out of the office. We have a home business and I'm in it most of the day on my bottom. LOL Unless I'm looking after parents which is like a workout of its own.LOL but I love them and I'm will be there one day. I don't know if my children will look after me who knows they might surprise me. :D

How many kids do you have Ann? It's always nice to think our kids we'll be there for us when we need them.

I have 2 boys and a girl. They range from 35yrs to 27yrs and they all live a long way from us so it will be very hard for them.  :-\

That's sad when they live far away. My boy is sixteen now so I don't know yet where he's going to college or will end up living.

My youngest is in the airforce so he goes overseas a lot. It's funny my youngest son comes home to see us maybe once a year but When Toby sees him he knows him straight away. and cries and gets so excited that his tail touches his nose it's so funny. It is different to when he sees other people he seems to get more excited with family than strangers. They are so funny aren't they :D

He knows that is his family even if he's sees him once a year. They are so smart. I bet you do miss your son but that is something he is in the airforce.
