Also think we are going to hold off on getting another puppie. I still want the puppie really bad but the commen sense is kicking in a little. If we didn't have other dogs like you Mai Tai I know we would get one. But we have enough and a person has to think about the money too. I'm just not going back to that website and look at the puppy because then I'll really want it again. It cost you $1500. That is alot but Mo is worth every penny.

I  have to say I have my problems with the humane societies, too. They want over $100.00 for a kitten! I realize some of that is for the spaying or neutering but sometimes people don't want to put out that much money for a kitten all at once. I take care of feral cats because the shelter won't take them. They always say they are full. Well of course they are always full!! They want too much for those animals. If it is a stray purebred they want hundreds of dollars. I think they have lost sight of the fact that they are supposed to be saving lives not holding them prisoner and then putting them down because the shelter is full. The shelter gets donations from people and from several counties and towns around here. I realize there is not as much interest in helping animals anymore but it's like their funds are used mostly for putting down animals and to pay humans. Well, I'm off on a rant here. I have used the shelter's spay neuter program to spay and neuter many of the cats around her to help stop the population explosion. They charge about half of what it would cost at the vet's. The vet that does it volunteers her time or I'm sure it would cost more. I have to say she does a great job and the cat's incisions looked much better than when I took Gracie to the high priced vet! ???

Mandy, I did not pay 1500 to get Mo, we had to pay that much for his recent surgery for bladder and ureter stones.  He is worth every penny though, thanks.  I agree that we do need common sense to kick in.  I would have too many puppies otherwise.  They are just sooooooo cute.  Just don't look at the puppy anymore...LOL.

I know. That's what I meant for his recent surgery. I worded that wrong. One time I was looking up medical advice on the internet and didn't like what I saw and the nurse told me to stay off the internet because it just confuses a person and all what you read isn't true. I think that was good advice.
