I have always given Angel botteled water from day one. Our tap water is not good here. Once we got a letter saying it didn't pass one certain test. Since then we all have been drinking botteled water. I don't trust drinking our tap water. I'll keep on praying for little Mo. God bless his heart.

Our water is drinkable but I'm sure it has a lot of minerals in it. Some say that the filters you can hook to the faucet do a good job. I guess it depends on what you have in your water.
My little Shih Tzu used to jump into the tub to get a drink from the faucet. When he got older and could not get in himself I would lift him in and out. They really appreciate fresh water. If you consider how quickly their bowls get slimy I guess I can't blame them for wanting it fresh. I think that is what Gracie is doing in her own way by drinking out of the bottle as I tip it. She will lap some up from the bowl but likes to get the free falling water best! Silly spoiled girl. I guess she is my child replacement. I raised 5 kids and it took a while to get used to the "empty nest." Now I have her and several feral cats that have adopted me. If a cat gets dumped in this area they find their way to my house. I live in a forested area so they love to hunt in the woods but eat at my house!

God bless your little one, I feel your pain.  I'll keep him in my prayers.  Hope you get some better news soon.  Hugs and Kissey's from Ava.

They make disposable diapers for dogs but I have also heard that you can fix a regular baby diaper to work for a dog. For Mo I would think you would need the extra small kind. I think you can cut out where the tail is but leave the rest so it coves his belly. It might be good for over night or when you have to be gone. I think it would be cheaper than buying the doggy kind.

Mai Tai how is Mo doing? I kept thinking about him when I'm been going through this. I feel so bad for both of you. We get so attached to these little furbabies. They're like one of the family.

Thanks Mandy.  He needs another surgery and has more stones than before.  There is a very large chance they will just keep coming back.  RIght now we are waiting until after the holidays to do surgery.  He is not in pain, so we can wait.  After this surgery, I cannot afford any more.  I can't even afford this one after the last one, but what else can I do?  Really tough.  Thanks so much for thinking of us.

You are not a pest at all, on the contrary, I really appreciate your concern and that of all on this board.  I have been having a lot of problems with the computer I normally use in my house, and the one I am using now is in an inconvenient place for me, so i don't post as much.  Going to get the other computer (laptop) fixed soon.  It is not the computer but the wireless router.  Mo is doing about the same.  Still has the stones, but can live with them until we can operate.  The longer we hold off the better, as I don't want the surgeries so close together.  Willl keep you all posted and thanks so much.  How are you and yours?

Sorry to hear that Mo isn't doing any better. Hopefully he isn't in too much pain. I wish him a speedy recovery and maybe just maybe surgery won't be needed  :-\

Poor Mo I do hope he is keeping ok and hope you are copeing ok. It is hard when you have illness in the family. Wether it is pet or human it does effect you. I'm sure we are all praying for you. :-[

I'm sorry to hear Mo still has his stones and we need another surgery. Does your vet carry a payment plan called care credit. We used it for getting my son's wisdom teeth out and I found out some vets use it. It a plan where we chose if we want to pay it off in 6 months up to two years. Depends on the plan at the time sometimes it can be interest free. When we did my son's teeth it was at a lower interest. Unfortunetly our vet doesn't carry it but one does near by our home. Its worth checking into. We are taking two years to pay our son's teeth off. Angel is feeling alot better. She's on a low fat diet. We feed her Wellness Core reduced low fat hard food and Innova low fat soft food. And I boil her chicken and she gets a little a day, plus she gets alow fat treat a day. She acts like she's hungry alot but she isn't losing weight. Her stools are back to normal but sometimes she can poop up to four times a day. I guess that is okay? We need to get her lipase level rechecked because its a little high. Every other test is normal even the one thattells she has pancreatitis. Thats even a little low. The vet said sometimes just like humans we don't always follow the books. But it is constantly worrying me. Along with all my other worries. Another story.

Please pray everyone as Mo is having another surgery on Monday to get out a huge amount of stones in his tiny bladder.  Yesterday, they completely blocked his flow of urine, and I had to rush him to the vet where they were able to flush them from his ureter (where the blockage was) back up into his bladder until they can do surgery on Monday.  The surgeon was not in yesterday, and rushing him to the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, which I would have had to do if they were not able to remove the blockage at my vet, would have cost over 5,000.  The surgery at my vet tomorrow is going to cost another 1100 to 1500. I feel so bad that money is an issue cause I love my pets so much.  These choices are so hard, but I have five children to feed.  I will let you know how he does tomorrow.  Thanks everyone.

I'm so sorry about Mo Mai Tai. I'll be praying for you. I know it is so hard with money. I know how you love your pets so much but you do have five kids to take care of. Don't feel bad the way you're feeling. I know money is so tight but it somehow has to be there for your kids also. It is a constant worry. Why couldn't somebody somebody just give you a milllion dollars and then you could be able to do everything you need to do and not have to worry about money. That's my dream. With all of us praying for Mo maybe it will help. Try to hang in there. I know it's easier said than done.
