I think those doggy totes are a wonderful solution for dogs. I would never take Gracie somewhere and then leave her in the car. Not even for a minute. But with a tote I can put her in it and take her in a store and no one be the wiser about it. Of course I wouldn't take her on a long shopping trip but to pop in and out of a store or two it works fine and she doesn't have to be home alone sulking.

Isn't it federal law that you can't take pets into places where food is sold? I remember reading that somewhere so I never take her to Target or anything, but I take her everywhere else I can.

I've taken beau into walmart before, no one ever knew. I think its federal law for the store that's why they don't want them in there, but if you bring them in (and get caught) then they will just ask you to leave.
