I get Gracie the thick bully sticks. She can't really eat it. It takes her days to get one down to where I throw it away. I always throw the last three inches away or she will try to eat the end of it and I don't want her to swallow it or choke on it. The first one she ever had she started chewing at the center of the stick. She made a mess of it and I had to throw it away. Now she starts chewing from the end, thank God. I bought her some odor free bully sticks once. They were a more pale yellow like color. She went through them much faster even though they were 12" sticks. I read that they are not good for the dog as they have been bleached. There is supposed to be a brand that has less odor that is not bleached. I think it is from "best bully sticks.com". I just ordered 5 12" sticks for her and they were $14.95 on ebay and it was free shipping.

I was wondering if they did because one of them started looking kind of different. Do you know how long they last and if they should be put in a baggie when there not being chewed on?

As long as Gracie just chews from the end I don't put her stick in anything. When she chewed it from the center I wrapped it in plastic because it was so icky. Go to that website because they have different kinds.

I'm going to try the website - Chewy just finished the last of her second bag of bully sticks in 5 months.. I had bought a single bleached one, and I agree - didn't last nearly long enough..  I didn't realize it wasn't good for them.. on that note, no more of those!
